It’s easy to duplicate one task or a series of tasks within any project, saving you the time and effort of manually creating each new one.

For now, you can only duplicate tasks and projects using the web, macOS, Windows (legacy) and Android apps. Coming soon to Windows 10 and iOS.

How to duplicate a single task

  1. Right click on the task.
  2. Select Duplicate from the menu.

Your duplicate task (including all sub-tasks) will be created right underneath the original.

  1. Tap on a task you want to duplicate.
  2. Tap the three_dots.png icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Duplicate.

The duplicate task will include the assignee, due date, and all sub-tasks of the original, but not the original task comments.

You can click and hold the grey “handle” to the left of the task names to drag and drop them anywhere on your list.

How to duplicate multiple tasks at once

  2. Click on More… in the menu that appears at the top of your Todoist.
  3. Select Duplicate.

Duplicate tasks (including all sub-tasks) will appear underneath each of the originals.
