Change your email address

Available for:
  1. At the top right, click the gear icon.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Next to your email address, click Edit.
  4. In the pop-up window that opens, enter your new email address, and again to confirm.
  5. Enter your password.
  6. Click on Update email.

  1. In the top left of your Todoist, tap on the Menu icon.
  2. At the bottom of the menu, tap Settings.
  3. Select Account.
  4. Select Email
  5. Enter your new email address, and again to confirm.
  6. Enter your Todoist password. (If you don’t have a password because you use your Google, Facebook or Apple account to log in to Todoist, you will not see this option.)
  7. Tap on the send-icon.
  1. While viewing your Todoist main screen, tap the gear icon in the top-right.
  2. Tap on Account.
  3. Tap on your email address.
  4. Enter a new email address, and again to confirm.
  5. Enter your Todoist password.
  6. Tap on Done.

You can only link one email address with your Todoist account.

If you want to use an email from a different account, log in to the other account and change the address there first. This way the email will be freed up to re-use on the other account.

If you've been invited to a project or Business team, your email address will become "reserved" in our database until the registration process has been completed.
