Changing the email address you use with your Todoist account is quick and easy! Here is how:
You can only link one email address with your Todoist account.
- Click your avatar in the top-right corner of Todoist.
- Select Settings.
- Select Manage account. Your Todoist account settings will now open in a browser.
- Under your email address, select Change email.
- Enter your new email address, and again to confirm.
- Enter your password.
- Select Change email.
- Click your avatar in the top-right corner of Todoist.

- Under your email address, select Change email.
- Enter your new email address, and again to confirm.
- Enter your password.
- Select Change email.
- Swipe up the bottom app bar to open the menu.
- Tap the gear icon in the top right corner to open Settings.
- Select Account.
- Select Email.
- Enter your new email address, and again to confirm.
- Enter your Todoist password (if you don’t have a password because you use your Google, Facebook or Apple account to log in to Todoist, you will not see this option.)
- Tap the send-icon.
- While viewing your Todoist main screen, tap the gear icon in the top-right corner.
- Tap Account.
- Tap your email address.
- Enter a new email address, and again to confirm.
- Enter your Todoist password.
- Tap Done.
FAQ
I'm unable to change my email because it's already registered to another Todoist account. What do I do?
If you want to use an email from a different Todoist account, log in to the other account and change the address there first. This way the email will be freed up to re-use on the other account. Alternatively, if you don't want to keep your second account, you can also delete it.
