  2. Tap the + icon that appears in the top corner of the screen.
  3. Scroll down until you see the Todoist icon and tap it.
  4. A menu will open where you can swipe to choose the widget you want to add — Tasks, Productivity, or Add Task.
  5. Tasks widget: Available as a small, medium, or large widget (swipe to choose the size you prefer). This widget gives you a compact overview of all tasks in a certain view, like Today or Upcoming, or a project, filter, or label.

    2. Tap Edit Widget.

    5. Once you’re done customizing the widget, tap the screen outside the widget to save.
  6. Productivity widget: Available as a medium widget. This widget gives you an overview of your current productivity stats, like how close you are to reaching your daily or weekly goals, as well as your current Karma score.
  7. Add Task widget: Available as a small widget. This widget lets you open Quick Add from your iOS Home screen, so you can quickly add a new task to Todoist.
    1. Once you’ve added the Add Task widget to your screen, long press the widget. A context menu will pop up.
    2. Tap Edit Widget.
    3. You can now set the task name, project and section, due date, priority level, and/or label for any task you create with the widget.

FAQ

If I update my device to iOS 14, can I still use the old Todoist Today widget?

Yes, you can! Even if you update your device to iOS 14 or above, you'll still be able to use the Todoist Today widget.

Can I change the color of my widget?

Yes and no. You can't change the color of a widget on its own, but the widget will in most cases match the theme of your Todoist app (please follow these instructions to change your theme) unless you have dark mode enabled on your device. If you have dark mode enabled on your device, your widget will automatically match dark mode.
