How to join the beta program
Log into your Todoist account through beta.todoist.com.
To join our beta program when using the Windows legacy app, follow these steps:
- Click your avatar in the top-right corner of Todoist.
- Select Settings.
- Open the General tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and toggle Beta access on.
- Log out of the Windows legacy app and log back in.
- Open the Todoist macOS app.
- In the top-left corner of your screen, click Todoist (next to the Apple icon).
- Select Preferences...
- Check the checkbox next to Enable Experimental Features.
To join our beta testing program on Android, follow these steps:
- Visit this link.
- Tap Become a tester.
To join our beta testing program on iOS, follow these steps:
- Install the TestFlight app on your iOS device.
- Visit this link to view the beta version of Todoist in the TestFlight app.
- Tap Accept.

How to leave the beta program
Don't want to test the beta features of Todoist anymore? No problem. Here's how you can leave the beta testing program:
Log into your account through todoist.com to use the officially released version of Todoist.
- Open the Todoist macOS app.
- In the top-left corner of your screen, click Todoist (next to the Apple icon).
- Select Preferences...
- Uncheck the checkbox next to Enable Experimental Features.
You can now use the officially released version of Todoist.
To leave our beta testing program on Android, follow these steps:
- Uninstall Todoist.
- Visit this link.
- Tap Leave the program.
- Reinstall Todoist through Google Play.
To leave our beta testing program on iOS, follow these steps:
- Open the TestFlight app.
- Select Todoist.
- At the bottom, select Stop testing.
FAQ
If I run the beta app via TestFlight, will I lose any of the data in my Todoist account?
When switching to beta, you may receive a warning that your data might be deleted. Please note that this is just a standard warning from TestFlight, and - as long as all the changes in your account are synced with our servers - no data should be lost.
