What is Slack?
Slack is a cloud-based team collaboration tool. It offers chat rooms (channels) organized by topic as well as private groups and direct messaging. All content inside Slack is searchable, including conversations, links, files, and people.
How does the Todoist/Slack integration work?
This integration lets you create a new Todoist task directly within a Slack channel or direct message.
How to connect Todoist with Slack?
- Visit https://todoist.com/slack/begin or click the Slack button:
- Click your team’s name.
- Click the Authorize button and sign into your Todoist account (if you haven’t already).
How to use the Todoist/Slack integration?
To use this integration, type a new Todoist task into Slack using the "/todoist" command. For example, "/todoist Meet with John tomorrow p1 @important #meetings +JaneDoe" will automatically create a priority 1 task to “Meet with John” with a due date for tomorrow labeled as important in your Meetings project and assigned to the user Jane Doe. Please note that the Meetings project would need to be a project that is already shared with Jane Doe for the assignment to be applied, otherwise the "+JaneDoe" text will remain as part of the task name.
