With calendar feeds you can see all your scheduled Todoist tasks inside your favorite calendar app: Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook Calendar, and any other calendar that allows you to subscribe with a URL feed.
Tasks with just a due date will show up as all-day events while tasks with a due date and time will show up as one-hour blocks in your calendar.
There are two ways to connect your Todoist with your calendar:
Account calendar feed
The account calendar feed syncs all tasks with a due date and/or time across all projects. A new “Todoist” calendar will be created in your calendar app of choice. Here’s how to set it up:
- Click your avatar in the top-right corner of Todoist.
- Select Integrations.
- Follow the steps depending on which calendar app you’d like to use:
Apple Calendar
- Click Copy to clipboard below the calendar feed URL.
- Open the Apple Calendar app.
- Click File at the top.
- Select New Calendar Subscription...
- Paste the iCal feed you copied earlier.
- Select the Auto-refresh rate.
- Select OK.
Outlook
- Click Copy to clipboard below the calendar feed URL.
- Open the Outlook calendar.
- Right-click Other Calendars.
- Select Add Calendar.
- Click From Internet...
- Paste the iCal URL.
- Click OK.
Google Calendar
- Click Copy to clipboard below the calendar feed URL.
- Open Google Calendar.
- On the left, below My Calendars, click the + icon.
- Select From URL and follow the instructions to add the new calendar.
- Go to https://todoist.com and sign into your Todoist.
- Tap your avatar in the top-right corner.
- Tap Integrations.
- To subscribe via Apple Calendar, tap Copy to clipboard below the calendar feed URL.
- Open the Settings app on your iOS device.
- Scroll down and tap Mail > Accounts.
- Tap Add Account and tap Other.
- Select Add Subscribed Calendar and paste in the URL you copied earlier.
- Tap Next in the top-right corner.
- Rename the calendar if you like, then tap Save. When you open the iOS Calendar app and tap on your available calendars, you will now see the newly added iCal feed subscription under the Subscribed section.
It’s not possible to subscribe to a calendar feed on your Android device yet. You can still follow the instructions to subscribe to a Todoist calendar feed from the web app. Your new Todoist calendar will sync with your mobile calendar app as well.
Project calendar feed
The project calendar feed lets you choose a single project to sync with your calendar. A new calendar will be created for each new project you connect. You can even share project calendar feeds with coworkers, clients, family, or friends.
Here’s how to set it up:
- Open the project you want to view in your calendar.
- In the top-right corner, click on the three dots icon.
- Select Project calendar feed.
- Follow the steps depending on which calendar app you’d like to use:
Apple Calendar
- Click Copy to clipboard below the calendar feed URL.
- Open the Apple Calendar app.
- Click File at the top.
- Select New Calendar Subscription...
- Paste the iCal feed you copied earlier.
- Select the Auto-refresh rate.
- Select OK.
Outlook
- Click Copy to clipboard below the calendar feed URL.
- Open the Outlook calendar.
- Right-click Other Calendars.
- Select Add Calendar.

Unfortunately, it is not currently possible to set up a project calendar feed using Android. Sorry! We hope to add this option in the future.
However, please note that you can still set up a project calendar feed through a browser by following the instructions for the web app.
If you want to share a static view of your projects with your collaborators, you can do so by downloading all your projects as an ICS file. Here's how:
Download a static view of all your projects
- In a browser, click your avatar in the top-right corner of Todoist.
- Select Integrations.
- Select Outlook. Please note you do not need to have an Outlook account or Outlook installed on your device in order to complete this step.
- A static view of all of your projects will now be downloaded to your device as an ICS file.
Download a static view of a single project
- In a browser, open the project you want to download a static view of.
- In the top-right corner, click on the three dots icon.
- Select Project calendar feed.
- Select Outlook. Please note you do not need to have an Outlook account or Outlook installed on your device in order to complete this step.
- A static view of your project will now be downloaded to your device as an ICS file.
FAQ
How often does the calendar feed refresh?
How often your feed refreshes depends on the calendar app you use. Some calendar apps update as often as every 5 minutes, whereas others update only once per day.
Can I manually refresh my calendar feed?
Unfortunately, it’s only currently possible to manually refresh your calendar feed if you’re using Apple Calendar: If you are using Apple Calendar on macOS, press ⌘ + r. If you are using Apple Calendar on iOS, open the app and tap Calendars at the bottom of the screen, then pull down the screen to refresh.
Can I change the duration of my tasks in a calendar feed?
For now, it is only possible to set a custom duration for a task when using the Google Calendar integration.
Can I make changes to my tasks via my calendar?
No, these calendar feeds only sync one way. Changes you make in Todoist will be reflected in your calendar, but changes you make in your calendar won’t sync back to Todoist. If you’d like your calendar events to sync back to Todoist, please try out our Google Calendar integration.
How can I remove the Apple Calendar integration?
- Open your Apple Calendar.
- Find Todoist in the calendar list in the left-hand side of the screen and right-click it.
- Select Unsubscribe.

How can I remove the Outlook Calendar integration?
- Open the Calendar tab.
- In the Folder Pane, right-click the name of the calendar that you want to delete.
- Click Delete Calendar, click Yes to confirm the deletion.
Can I disable all my calendar feeds at the same time?
Yes, you can disable calendar feeds all at once. To do so, please follow these steps:
- Click your avatar in the top-right corner of Todoist.
- Select Integrations.
- Select the Developer tab at the top.
- Click Issue a new API token.
Will tasks assigned to other users appear on my calendar?
No, the only tasks that will appear on your calendar are your personal tasks, those assigned to you, and any unassigned tasks in a shared project in which you're a collaborator.
