Use Airmail with Todoist

Airmail is an email client for macOS and iOS.

With this integration, you can add Airmail emails as Todoist tasks. The task in Todoist will have a link to the email which can be opened in Airmail.

Setting up the integration

  1. In Airmail, open Preferences.
  2. Click on Services.
  3. Select Todoist.
  4. Log in with your Todoist account.
  1. In Airmail, open Settings.
  2. Under Apps, tap on Services.
  3. Find Todoist in the list and toggle it on.

That’s it! You can now start adding emails as tasks to Todoist.

Using the integration

  1. Right-click the email you want to add to Todoist.
  2. Scroll down to Send to.
  3. Select Todoist. 
  4. Select the project you would like to add the email to.
  1. Open the email you want to add to Todoist.
  2. At the top right, tap the three dots icon.
  3. Select Send to Todoist. In Todoist, the Quick add modal will be opened with the email name and a link to it in the name field. 
  4. (Optional) Change the name, add a due date, set the priority, or select a different project to add the task to.
  5. Tap the ios_submit.svg submit icon.

FAQ

How can I remove the integration?

If you no longer want to use Todoist with Airmail, here's how to remove the integration:

  1. In Airmail, open Preferences.
  2. Click on Services.
  3. Select Todoist.
  4. Move the toggle to remove Todoist.

  2. Under Apps, tap on Services.
  3. Find Todoist in the list and toggle it off.
