Use Toggl Track with Todoist

Toggl Track is a time tracking app that can be integrated with Todoist when using Firefox or Chrome.

With this integration, you can track the time you spend on each of your tasks directly in Todoist on Chrome or Firefox.

Setting up the integration

  1. Install the Toggl Track Button for Chrome or the Toggl Track Button for Firefox.
  2. Open the extension and log in to your Toggl Track account.
  3. At the top right of the extension, click on the gear icon.
  4. In the browser tab that opens, select the Integrations tab.
  5. In the "Filter integrations" field, type Todoist and click the checkbox.
  6. In the browser pop-up, click Allow.

Using the integration

  1. Open Todoist in the browser where you've installed Toggl Track.
  2. Hover your mouse over the task you want to time.
  3. Click the Toggl Track button that appears to the right of the task title.
  4. Once you're done working on the task, simply click the Toggl Track button again to stop the timer.

If you want to use Toggl Track with the Todoist Chrome extension or the Todoist Firefox extension, you'll have to do the following:

  1. Click the Todoist icon in the top-right corner of your browser.
  2. Click your avatar in the top-right corner of the pop-up.
  3. Click Popout in a window.

How can I remove the integration?

If you no longer want to use Todoist with Toggl Track, here's how to remove the integration:

  1. At the top right of the Toggl Track extension, click on the gear icon.
  2. In the browser tab that opens, select the Integrations tab.
  3. In the "Filter integrations" field, type Todoist and uncheck the box.
