Audio comments are a quick and easy way to provide information for a task or project when it’s too long to write out or you just don’t have the time.
Recording audio comments isn't supported in Todoist for macOS. Use the Todoist web app, Todoist for Windows, or the mobile apps to record an audio comment.
Add an audio comment to a task
- Hover over a task and click the speech bubble icon.
- Click the microphone icon.
- Click Record to record an audio comment. When you're done, click Stop.
Click Retake to record your comment again.
- Click Attach to attach it to the comment.
- Click Comment to save the changes.
- Tap a task to open the task view.
- Tap the paperclip icon in the Comment field at the bottom-right.
- Select Record Audio.
- Tap the red circle button and record the comment. When you're done, tap the red square button.
- Tap Attach to attach the file to the comment.
- Tap Send to save the changes.
- Tap a task to open the task view.
- Tap the paperclip icon in the Add a comment field at the bottom.
- Select Audio.
- When the microphone appears, record your comment. When you're done, tap OK.
- Tap the submit icon.
Add an audio comment to a project
- Open the project you wish to add the audio comment to and click the speech bubble icon.
- Click the microphone icon.
- Click Record to record an audio comment. When you're done, click Stop.
Click Retake to record your comment again.
- Click Attach to attach it to the comment.
- Click Comment to save the changes.
- Open the project and tap the three dots icon.
- Tap Comments.
- Tap the paperclip icon.
- Select Record Audio.
- Tap the red circle button and record the comment. When you're done, tap the red square button.
- Tap Attach to attach the file to the comment.
- Tap Send to save the changes.
- Open the project and tap the three dots icon.
- Tap Comments.
- Tap the paperclip icon.
- Select Audio.
- When the microphone appears, record your comment. When you're done, tap the OK button.
- Tap the submit icon.
