Start a Pro trial
Here’s how to start your Todoist Pro trial:
- Log in to Todoist at https://todoist.com.
- Click your avatar in the top-left.
- Select Settings.
- Select the Subscription tab.
- Click Try Pro for free.
- Log in to the Todoist app on your iOS mobile device.
- Tap the Browse tab.
- Tap the gear icon to open Settings.
- Select the Subscription tab.
- Tap Try Pro for free.
Now you’re ready to enjoy all the benefits of Todoist Pro.
Cancel your Pro trial
If you no longer wish to continue using Todoist Pro, here's how to cancel the trial:
- Open Todoist in your browser.
- Click your avatar in the top-left.
- Select Settings.
- Select the Subscription tab.
- Click the Cancel plan button.
- Select the reason for the cancellation.
- Click Yes, cancel to confirm the cancellation.
- Open the App Store on your iOS mobile device.
- Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Find and tap Todoist.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.

Who is eligible for a Pro trial?
The Pro plan trial is available to anyone who hasn't previously tried Pro.
What happens when my trial ends?
Once your Pro trial ends, your Pro subscription will start automatically, unless canceled.
Where do I check my subscription status on mobile?
You can check your subscription status in the Todoist mobile app. Tap the gear icon to open Settings, then select the Subscription tab.
If I cancel my trial, will I lose data added during the free trial?
When your free trial expires, your account will be downgraded to the Beginner plan. Your access to certain features and usage limits will be reduced. Learn more.
Can I pause my trial and use the remaining days in the future?
No, it's not possible to pause a trial.
Can I do multiple trials?
Each account is limited to one free trial.
How do I check if a trial was already used on this account?
Go to your avatar > Settings > Subscription. If there's no "Try Pro for free" button, a trial was already used on this account.
You can also dig into your billing history for more detail: go to Settings > Subscription > Go to billing. Your past invoices and payment records show exactly when each plan started, which can help you trace the timeline.
