Todoist Automations work directly in most modern web browsers, like Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge. For faster access, add it as a web app on your computer, or to your iPhone or Android home screen, so your custom workflows are always a few taps away.
Add Automations to your device
Automations is a progressive web app (PWA), which you access through a standard web browser. Add it to your home screen for quick access and notifications:
- Open Todoist Automations. If you see the login screen, use your Todoist account credentials.
- Click Install at the bottom-left of the screen.
- Click Install again to confirm. A window will open and show Automations as an app on your computer.

- Open Todoist Automations in the Safari mobile browser.
- Log in with your Todoist account credentials.
- Tap the Share button.
- Select Add to Home Screen from the options.
- Enter a name for the shortcut.
- Tap Add.
Tap the icon on your home screen to open Automations directly.

- Open Todoist Automations in the Google Chrome mobile browser.
- Log in with your Todoist account credentials.
- Tap the three dots icon at the top-right of Google Chrome.
- Select Install and create shortcut from the menu. A pop-up window will appear.
- Tap Install.
This adds Automations as an app to your home screen. Tap the Automations icon to open the app.
