Everyone in your Todoist team workspace can already use Todoist Comms, so you only need to invite people who aren’t on your team yet.
Invite them by email or share an invite link, and they’ll join your team workspace in both Todoist and Todoist Comms.
Invite people by email
- Click the team menu in the top-left.
- Select Invite your team.
- Select the role the new people will have under Invite by email.
- Enter the email addresses of the people you want to invite (separate multiple emails with commas).
- Select any channels they should join under Add to channels.
- Click Send invite(s).
- Tap More in the bottom right corner.
- Tap Invite People.
- Select the role they’ll have (Administrator, Member, or Guest).
- Enter the email address of the person you want to invite, or tap Choose from contacts.
- Tap Add under the email address.
- Tap Send in the top-right corner.
- Tap More in the bottom right corner.
- Tap Invite People.
- Select the role they’ll have.
- Enter the email address of the person you want to invite.
- Tap Add recipient.
- Tap Send.
Share an invite link
- Click the team menu in the top-left.
- Select Invite your team.
- Turn on Enable invite link under Invite by link.
- Click Copy.
- Share the link with the people you want to invite.
- Tap More in the bottom right corner.
- Tap Invite People.
- Tap Team Invitation Link.
- Choose how you want to send the link.
- Tap More in the bottom-right corner.
- Tap Invite People.
- Tap Get team invite link.
- Tap Copy, Share, or Revoke link.
Anyone with the link can join your team. To stop an old link from working, click Reset link on web and desktop, or tap Revoke link on mobile.
Add guests to a channel
To give someone outside your team access to specific channels, first add them as a guest in Todoist, then add them to the channel in Todoist Comms.
- Add a guest to your Todoist workspace first.
- Open Todoist Comms.
- Open the channel you want to add them to.
- Click Manage members in the channel header.
- Search for and select the guest.
- Add a guest to your Todoist workspace first.
- Open Todoist Comms.
- Open the channel you want to add them to.
- Tap Info.
- Tap Add Members.
- Select the guest.
- Add a guest to your Todoist workspace first.
- Open Todoist Comms.
- Open the channel you want to add them to.
- Tap More.
- Tap Members.
- Select the guest.
In private channels, only admins and the channel owner can add members.
