Check account requirements
To use Microsoft 365 Copilot with Todoist, check if you meet all the account requirements:
- Sign in with a Microsoft 365 Corporate or School account.
- Set up a Microsoft Azure subscription with available credits in your balance, or pay-as-you-go enabled, to run the AI agent.
Set up the integration
You set up the integration in Microsoft Copilot Studio, where you create an agent and connect it to Todoist. You only need to set it up once.
Let's start by creating the agent and adding Todoist as a tool:
Add the Todoist MCP server
- Sign in to Microsoft Copilot Studio.
- Select New agent.
- Name the agent Todoist agent.
- Select Tools, then select Add.
- Select Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Enter the Todoist MCP server details listed below.
- Select Add.

Create the Todoist connection
- Select Create new connection.
- Select Create.
- Log in to Todoist when prompted.
- Check that the connection is established, then select Add.
- Select Publish.
That's it. Your Todoist agent is set up in Copilot Studio. Select Preview to try it out.
Make the agent available to your team
Publishing the agent to Teams and Microsoft 365 makes it available in your team‘s Copilot and Teams chats. Here’s how:
- Select the chevron to open the publish options.
- Select Teams + Microsoft 365.
- Select Save and publish.
Disconnect the integration
If you need to disconnect Todoist from your agent to troubleshoot an issue, or you no longer want to use the integration, here's how to remove the connection:
- Open your agent in Copilot Studio.
- Find Todoist in the Tools section.
- Select the X next to it.
