How to apply to become a Todoist Ambassador
To apply, simply visit our landing page and click Start Your Application. You’ll get an email confirmation of your application status and hear from our team in as little as 2-3 business days. If it feels like a great fit, we’ll help you create a PartnerStack account (if you haven’t already), welcome you into the program, and then let you get started.
How the ambassador program works
As a Todoist ambassador, you’ll have your own unique Todoist referral link which you can share with your audience or network. When someone clicks on your referral link, we’ll make sure that if they upgrade in the next 90 days, we’ll thank you with a reward!
Here’s how those rewards are calculated:
- For yearly plans, you’ll get 25% of the total transaction amount. That means you can earn US$9 on a US$36 purchase.
- For monthly plans, you can earn 25% of each transaction, up to 12 payments. That means you can earn US$1.50 on a US$6 payment up to 12 times.
You should know that you can only earn a reward on the first upgrade of a yearly plan (and not renewals for the same person afterward). For monthly plans, you can earn rewards up to 12 times. Also, the monetary value of your reward may differ depending on the currency of the purchase itself, but the 25% commission rate will remain the same.
Q: What are the requirements to be approved as an ambassador?
A: The ambassador program is designed for people who are passionate and enthusiastic about Todoist and have a sizeable existing audience. Whether you’re a blogger, productivity coach, social influencer, or something in between, we encourage you to apply if you feel you meet these criteria.
Q: How long does it take to process an application?
A: We review applications on a weekly basis, but you should hear back from our team within 2-3 business days.

Q: Which platform do you use to manage your program?
A: We use PartnerStack, a third-party platform, to manage our Todoist ambassador program. With PartnerStack, you can:
- create a Todoist ambassador account
- generate a unique Todoist referral link
- track new Todoist Premium/Todoist Business upgrades from your audience
- view and redeem your rewards
- manage your earnings
Q: How are my referrals tracked?
A: As an ambassador, you’ll have your own unique referral link to share with your audience. When someone clicks on your link, a cookie is saved in that person’s browser which will last for 90 days. If that person becomes a paid Todoist user within that 90-day period, that sale will be attributed to you. We’ll even count that sale as yours if the referred person leaves the site and comes back later without clicking your referral link again. And if that person doesn’t become a paid user in 90 days, but clicks your referral link one more time, the 90 days will restart.
Q: What is a cookie?
A: A cookie is a teeny amount of information that a website can leave in your browser. That way, if you go back to that site, it remembers you. In this case, your unique Todoist referral link will allow PartnerStack to attribute any paid upgrades from that link to you so we can thank you with a reward.
Q: How often can I redeem my rewards?
A: You’ll earn rewards from the first to the last day of a month. You can monitor the rewards you accumulate in your PartnerStack account under Pending Rewards. You can redeem rewards that are outside of the refund period — which is 30 days long. Since Todoist upgrades within 30 days of the purchase date are eligible for a full refund, we make sure to wait to reward you until that period is over.
PartnerStack pays out your rewards on the 13th of each month. You must have accumulated at least US$25 in rewards in order to redeem it. Otherwise, this amount will continue to appear as pending until you earn enough rewards to be eligible for the next payout (the 13th of the next month).
Q: How do I redeem my rewards?
A: PartnerStack processes your reward payments via PayPal or Stripe. So make sure you have the correct PayPal email address or Stripe account details linked in Payouts.
Here’s how to redeem your rewards:
- Log in to your PartnerStack account.
- Select Payouts in the menu on the far left.
- Review your rewards and balance.
- Click Cash Out.
Q: What’s the currency of the payout?
A: All payments are done in USD. If your bank account is using a different currency (like EUR), the transferred amount is subject to your bank’s currency exchange or fees and will be converted to your bank account’s currency upon arriving to your account.
Q: Do I get a reward for users who upgraded via the App Store or Google Play?
A: We only keep track of purchases made through Todoist.com. Therefore, purchases made via the App Store or Google Play will not be eligible for rewards. That’s why your unique link will direct users to Todoist.com, so you can earn a reward for each person you refer who becomes a paid user.
Q: How does this differ from an affiliate program?
A: Unlike an affiliate program that is open to anyone, the Todoist ambassador program is focused on creating strategic partnerships with ambassadors who truly love Todoist as a product and brand.
