When logging in to the Windows 10/11 app, if your browser doesn’t redirect you back to the app after entering your credentials, please try the following steps to resolve the issue:
Make sure you’re using the latest version of the app
- Right-click the Todoist icon in the system tray.
- Select Quit Todoist. The new version will automatically be installed once the app is closed.
Check if pop-ups and redirects are allowed in your web browser
Since the location of these settings change frequently, please check your browser's help page for the latest means to enable pop-ups:
- Chrome: Block or allow pop-ups
- Edge: Block or unblock pop-ups
- Firefox: Pop-up blocker settings, exceptions, and troubleshooting
Temporarily change your default browser
Windows 10
- Select the Start button.
- Type Default apps.
- In the search results, select Default apps.
- Under Web browser, select a different browser.
Windows 11
- Open Start and click Settings.
- Select Apps, and choose Default apps.
- Search for a different browser and click on it.
- Then click Set default.
Uninstall the app and delete the cache
- Uninstall the Todoist app.
- Press Windows + R.
- Enter %APPDATA%/Todoist.
- Delete the contents of the folder.
- Reinstall the Todoist app.
