Having trouble logging in to the Windows 10 app?

When logging in to the Windows 10 app, if your browser doesn’t redirect you back to the app after entering your credentials, please try the following steps to resolve the issue:

Make sure you’re using the latest version of the app

  1. Right-click the Todoist icon in the system tray.
  2. Select Quit Todoist. The new version will automatically be installed once the app is closed.

Check if pop-ups and redirects are allowed in your web browser

You can find the pop-up and redirect options in the Permissions settings of your browser. If you have trouble finding this try searching for pop-up in the Settings search bar.

Temporarily change your default browser

  1. Select the Start button.
  2. Type Default apps.
  3. In the search results, select Default apps.
  4. Under Web browser, select a different browser.

Uninstall the app and delete the cache

  1. Uninstall the Todoist app.
  2. Press Windows + R.
  3. Enter %APPDATA%/Todoist.
  4. Delete the contents of the folder.
  5. Reinstall the Todoist app.

None of the troubleshooting steps worked. What should I do?

Here's how to find your app version number:

  1. Right-click the Todoist icon in the system tray.
  2. The version number is right next to the Changelog option.
