For security reasons, when you sign up for Todoist we will ask you to verify your email address.
Once you’ve created your Todoist account, you’ll automatically receive an email with a verification link (this link will expire after 24 hours). You can verify your account either by clicking or tapping the Verify email button in the email, or by copy-pasting the link in the email into a browser.
If you can’t find the email, please check that:
- It hasn’t landed in your spam folder.
- That you are checking the email you’ve used to set up your Todoist account.
Upon signing up to Todoist, you have 7 days to verify your account. If you do not verify your account within 7 days, you will not be able to access your account. Instead, when you try to log in, you will see an option to re-send a verification email.
Make sure there are no typos in the email address you've used to sign up to Todoist. If you've made a typo, follow these instructions to change your email address.
If there's a typo in your email address and you don't manage to verify your account within 7 days, we won't be able to recover your account for you, unfortunately.
If you still can’t find the verification email (or if the link in your verification email has expired), you can re-send it. Here’s how:
- Log in to your Todoist account on any platform.
- At the bottom of the screen, you will see a pop-up telling you that you need to verify your account. You can trigger a new verification email by clicking or tapping the Re-send option.
