Customize Quick Add in Todoist

Customize the Quick Add feature to suit your needs and workflow!

You can change the following in your Quick Add: 

  • Select which task actions to show (such as priority level, assignee, and due date).
  • Change the order of the task actions.
  • Select if you want to show the task action labels or just the icons.
You’ll still be able to select the task actions you’ve disabled for your Quick Add by clicking/tapping the three dots icon in the Quick Add field.

Customize Quick Add

  1. Click your avatar in the top-left.
  2. Select Settings. You'll see several options in the side menu.
  3. Click Quick Add.
  4. Select what task actions you want to show in Quick Add by clicking the + icon to show the action, and the - icon to hide it.
  5. Drag-and-drop the task actions to reorder them.
  6. Use the Show action labels toggle to show or hide the task action labels.
  7. Click Update to save the changes. 
  1. Tap on Browse in the bottom-right.
  2. Tap the gear icon in the top-right.
  3. Tap Quick Add.
  4. Use the Show action labels toggle to show or hide the task action labels.
  5. Select what task actions you want to show in the Quick Add by tapping the + icon to show the action, and the - icon to hide it.
  6. Drag the task actions to show, hide, or reorder them.

    Tap the Show All or Hide All button if you’d like to show or hide all task actions in your Quick Add.

  7. Tap back to Settings and tap Done to save the changes.

  6. Drag-and-drop the task actions to reorder them. You can also drag the actions to show or hide them in the Quick Add.
  7. (Optional) Tap the Show All or Hide All button if you’d like to show or hide all task actions in your Quick Add. 
  8. Tap the left arrow in the top-left side to save the changes.

FAQ

If I customize my Quick Add, will it be the same across all platforms?

Yes, the settings you set for your Quick Add will sync across all platforms you use Todoist on.
