Only admins can cancel a Todoist Business account.
To switch from Business account to the individual Pro plan, you will need to cancel your current Business subscription first.
When you cancel your Todoist Business account, your Team Inbox will be deleted and can’t be restored. If you don’t want to lose those tasks, move them from the Team Inbox to a different project before canceling your Business subscription.
If you’re a “team of one” and switch to the Pro plan, you will lose the legacy discount pricing (e.g., for education or non-profits) from your Business plan. You can absolutely stay on the Business plan, but the new team workspace won’t be particularly helpful for you.
Here’s how to cancel your Business subscription:
- Log in to your Todoist account on https://todoist.com.
- Click your avatar in the top-right corner and select Business admin.
- Next, on the left-hand side, select the Account & Billing tab.
- Click on Cancel Todoist Business and select the reason for your cancellation, enter your Todoist password and click Cancel Todoist Business.
If you're using your Google, Facebook or Apple account to sign in, you'll need to add a password to your Todoist account first by going to your Settings and selecting Account.
Once your Business subscription has been canceled, you will be automatically switched to the Free plan. To get more benefit from the advanced features, you can upgrade to the Pro plan at any time through our website, Google Play or the App Store.
If your Business team still had some remaining subscription time before you downgraded to the Free plan, please contact us so that we could look into it and convert it into Pro balance accordingly.
